Note if you are looking to use any insulin make sure that you have your blood glucose levels under control and in a good spot. Do not “guess” while insulin is not dangerous you should use it with caution. Always keep carbs on hand just incase you lower your blood sugar worse then expected.
Typically with my guys here is how we use Humalog aka a fast acting insulin.

During the workout I will usually have them use around 30-50g of fast acting carbs like cluster dextrin. Along with a packet of the gorilla mode electrolytes (my favorite ones). I will also put 10g of EAAs in there with some creatine.

Now I like to split up the dosing like this.
- Beginner Dosing: 2-3 IU pre and post workout
- Intermediate Dosing 3-5 IU pre and post workout
- Advanced 6 IU+
Sometimes depending on the guy I will leverage a higher dosage of the insulin pre workout if he needs more of a performance boost. Or if he needs more on the recovery side we will make the dose higher postworkout.
Always take your blood glucose with this!!! To make sure you are not going hypo potentially.
