 GB-115 Personal Experiment & Review
I’ve been experimenting with GB-115, a novel compound that acts by antagonizing central cholecystokinin-1 (CCK1) receptors. For context, CCK1 receptors are involved in regulating anxiety, satiety, and dopaminergic tone, particularly in the limbic system. When antagonized centrally, they can reduce anxiety and dampen the body’s stress response, without the sedation commonly seen in GABAergic compounds like benzodiazepines.
 My Stack:
-
Fluvoxamine – 50 mg/day
-
Donepezil – 5 mg/day
-
Testosterone – 200 mg/week
-
Chemix Nootropic – 8 capsules/day
-
GB-115 – ~200 mcg per spray (typically 2 sprays/day, occasionally redosed with 2 more in the evening)
Observations:
-
Fluvoxamine has been incredibly effective at reducing my anxiety, though it has introduced some mild apathy.
-
GB-115 adds a very clean, effective anxiolytic layer — it helps me feel relaxed, clear-headed, and calm, without any noticeable sedation.
-
It pairs surprisingly well with nootropics and feels more like it enhances emotional stability and presence rather than dulling the mind.
-
No side effects noted so far at my dosing range.
Caution & Protocol:
Because GB-115 is still a research compound, I recommend staying conservative with the dosing:
-
Typical dose: 2 sprays/day (~400 mcg total)
-
Occasional max: 4 sprays/day (~800 mcg total) — only on high-stress days
-
Cycle suggestion: Use for 1–2 weeks on, followed by a break, or keep it reserved for acute anxiety days.
 Quick Primer on CCK-1 Antagonism:
CCK-1 receptors are activated by the peptide hormone cholecystokinin, which is involved in both digestive processes and central nervous system signaling. In the brain, CCK-1 activity is linked to:
-
Heightened anxiety responses
-
Suppression of dopamine release
-
Increased startle and fear responses
By blocking these receptors, GB-115 likely:
-
Reduces overactive anxiety signaling
-
Restores dopaminergic tone
-
Promotes a more relaxed, less reactive mental state
This mechanism is promising because it provides anxiolysis without sedation or cognitive dulling, which is rare in most anxiety-reducing compounds.
 Final Thoughts:
While research is still in its early stages, GB-115 shows a lot of promise as a non-sedating anxiolytic. I highly recommend caution, slow titration, and cycling — but if you’re looking for a unique tool to help manage stress or social anxiety, this might be worth exploring.
Happy researching!
